Nobody grows up to be a tester. Even the people eventually falling into or choosing for testing as a profession are surprised when they learn to love it.
Why? Well,… there are many misconceptions about the craft. This makes it rather difficult for non-testers to find a shared understanding, an interface with their testing colleagues and vice versa.
You’ll learn about different problems which we face every day: The coverage problem, the oracle problem, constant uncertainty, Leaky abstractions,… but also how we use techniques, heuristics and the scientific method to tackle those problems.
As a trainer, I believe having actual experience with what you learn is imperative. Therefore, all this will be brought in a light, playful manner with puzzles, tricks & exercises of systems thinking & critical thinking.
- You will have a better understanding of the Testing Mindset;
- You will gain insight in the struggles a Tester has to deal with;
- You will find out how you can support your Tester(s);
- You will be able to get what you need from your Tester(s).
